Being a photographer in Virginia has been a rewarding experience, and doing maternity photography for families I know and love all the more so. The Loan family have been with me since approximately 2007. In that time I’ve had the privilege of seeing many of their family’s milestones. We have seen their engagement, wedding, and the birth of their first child together!
They’ve gone through some challenging but rewarding times. From the birth of their first child, to multiple C-sections, to several business openings and welcoming lots of kiddos into the world! And now, they get to welcome a fourth Loan child into the world and I am so excited and honored that they’ve given me the privilege to be able to capture another beautiful moment in their family’s story!
Mom and Dad were pretty excited for this photoshoot, eager (and rightly so!) to share the happy news. The kiddos were also excited to help out and get the photos that the family wanted like the “Newest Big Sister” and “Team Loan” shots with their matching t-shirts!
This session took place at the Keezletown Ballpark in the Harrisonburg area of Virginia. It looks pretty and planned out in the photos (we planned in advance all that we could), but there were a few bumps in the road. Unhappy little ones, and a few moments of the kids being unwilling to smile. Ultimately though, we were able to get the must-have shots and were really happy with the results. We even shot some pretty awesome and share-worthy photos as well!
Corri had some ideas from Pinterest that we drew inspiration from, and she also had all of the props ready to go! The weather was sunny and bright but very pleasant. We put on sunglasses so no one had to squint or close their eyes and we were good to go!
The Loan family continues to grow, they’re almost a family of six now! Sometimes life throws curveballs, but I know whatever curveballs the Loans receive, they will continue to knock it out of the park and be the sweet, loving and fun family they always have been!
Stay close to the ballpark, we will be showing off their gender reveal in about a month or so…
