Jerica and her mom originally weren’t going to have any photos taken for her graduation. She was having braces put on soon and wanted to wait for those. However, after a referral from Alexis, a previous client who hired me as a Virginia senior photographer, they saw the pictures I took for her graduation, and they called me up to book the session! Jerica and Alexis both graduated from Turner Ashby Highschool, and they are also cousins!
Jerica’s Bridgewater Photos by a Virginia Senior Photographer
Jerica requested that we go to the college she would be attending, Bridgewater College, for some photos, so that’s where the session began! While there, we also got some pictures in the town of Bridgewater.
She also wanted some pictures in her cap and gown, along with the white dress and robe that she wore to her graduation. These photos were some of my favorites from this session! We chose a simple, but pretty spot so that her various medals, and her graduation cord would stand out against the white and green backdrop.
Her smile was easy and natural, and she smiled often! Her grace and beauty shined while she was twirling and grinning. The photos were phenomenal!
Nature Shots and Jerrica’s Dog
One of Jerica’s requests was to have her dog along, and they shared some snuggles and sweet kisses. She and her dog had a few nice, posed pictures where both were smiling. Those photos were adorable, and I’m sure she will cherish those memories with her furry best friend for years to come!
We got a few more photos on that property in a casual outfit, along with a Bridgewater College t-shirt, and Jerica’s little dog got to be in a few of those photos as well!
Since I’m a Virginia senior photographer, it’s always helpful to have a few places to bring clients that are all yours! Another place she wanted photos of was to be by water, so we went to one of my family properties to oblige. We snapped some pictures in, and by the river. She changed into a casual blue dress that perfectly accented the water photos in such a beautiful way!
Jerica’s last request was for long grass and mountains. We found a spot on a farm by a fence post with the mountains in the background. We snapped a few of the seated poses as well!
After we took the posed pictures, Jerica laid down in the grass and put her feet up. She was all smiles and impromptu youthful charm. Those pictures were some of my favorites from the latter part of our time together!
Jerica did so well during her senior session! Not a speck of awkwardness or hesitancy, even though this was the first time we had met and her first Virginia senior photographer. She is a very confident and lovely young woman and I know she will do well in college and in her future endeavors!
