Most of the time, my senior photography clients in Bridgewater, VA find me online. But, Brooke was a little bit different. Her mother was referred to me byu a past client through a referral and we set up a 2 part senior photography session for Brooke and she was so much fun to work with and a client I’ll never forget!
Of course, when we first met, she was a little bit shy. So, we started with something easy and familiar – pictures with her truck! It’s always easier to get people to relax when they have something familiar to pose with. And for Brooke, it was her beautiful blue Toyota!
Shortly after this, she began to open up and that’s when the real fun started! I remember saying “Oh, Brooke, look at you!” and by that point, she had gained her confidence and even started posing a bit on her own. She was comfortable now and we were starting to get some really good photos!
As we were finishing up her first session, we saw a little patch of flowers and grass that was just so cute! By this point, she trusted my guidance and was ready for anything that would make an amazing photo. So even though it was a weird request, I asked Brooke to lay down among the weeds and flowers and the pictures we were able to get were awesome! (And, of course, afterwards, we checked to make sure there were no icky bugs on her!)
Her second session was in the fall but the weather was so warm it felt more like summer! The only reason we knew it was fall was the bright vibrant leaves on all the trees around Bridgewater College. Once we were there, we used one of my most favorite locations, One Eleven South Main in Bridgewater VA. There is a fountain, and a beautiful secret garden type feel, with cute lights and lots of nooks to make beautiful portraits. There is a rustic white gate out front that is absolutely gorgeous! To watch Brooke go from being a little apprehensive during our first session to blossoming into full confidence by the second session was so awesome to watch! It was the perfect way to end our time together!
